Important notes

Inland, the climate is continental with snow during the winter months, while on the coast the Mediterranean climate prevails with mild and rainy winters and warm and sunny summers. The weather is excellent for sailing from April to October, and during this period there are most tourists visiting Croatia.
The summer temperature reaches up to 38°C, and the temperature of the sea surface at this time can be up to 26°C. There are lots of spring sunny days in March, but unpleasant March showers occur from time to time, while early fall is an ideal time for visiting Croatia for all those looking for some rest. Out of the high season the beaches are no longer crowded, the prices of accommodation are noticeably lower, the weather is stable and the sea temperature is pleasant.
In general, you can travel along the Croatian coast during the whole year. In the winter, however, you will need some warm clothes in spite of the mild Mediterranean climate. Along the shore the temperatures rarely, almost never drop to zero, but because of the wind it can be chilly.
