How to get to Central Dalmatia

Thanks to the excellent road and international airports connections with Croatia, it is very easy to get to Central Dalmatia.

The center of Central Dalmatia is Split, and it’s located close to Split Airport (approx. 20 km), which is well connected with all international airports. If you decide to spend your vacation in Trogir, Kastela and nearby places, then you will be only six, seven kilometers away from Split Airport.

If you come from Croatia or neighboring countries, then the best option is to travel by car or bus. Almost every of the Croatian and neighboring cities is connected to the Split Bus Station, so you can choose this option. You can choose to travel on the modern Dalmatian highway or the old road (toll free), also full of beautiful rest areas with lookouts.

Except to Split airport, you can also land at the airports in Dubrovnik or Zadar (abounds in low-budget lines) and travel by car or bus to the desired location in Central Dalmatia.

If you land in Split, there is a bus stop for public transport near the airport, and bus line number 37 also leads to Split and nearby tourist places to the last bus stop behind the town of Omis.

If you need to go to one of the islands, there are ferry ports Split, Zadar, Šibenik, Dubrovnik… Thanks to boat and catamaran lines of the shipping company Jadrolinija (and others) ports are excellently connected with all Croatian islands and Italy (SNAV).

In case you are not coming to Croatia by car, it would be great to rent some transfer so you can go sightseeing in the nearby towns, places, and beaches.
